Local Foods, Local Places technical assistance

Please help share this opportunity for communities to apply for Local Foods, Local Places technical assistance, sponsored by EPA and USDA. Projects in Opportunity Zones will receive special consideration.

Local Foods, Local Places supports projects that:

• Create livable, walkable, economically vibrant main streets and mixed-use neighborhoods

• Boost economic opportunities for local farmers and main street businesses

• Improve access to healthy, local food, especially among disadvantaged populations

The application period for 2021 is open through October 30, 2020 with a Webinar on Applying for Local Foods, Local Places Assistance on October 9 at 3:00 PM Eastern.

LFLP has worked with 124 partner communities; I have supported the entrepreneurial aspect of LFLP for the near east side of Indy in 2019 and Evansville in 2020 and am happy to serve as a resource for any communities interested in applying.
